Dr. Afshin Safavi is a CEO, business founder, board member, councilman, entrepreneur, and investor in biotechnology, technology, health, and real-estate ventures.
Dr. Safavi received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Kentucky Medical School, followed by a two-year postdoctoral assignment in Emory University’s Department of Pathology. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA.
After founding and leading the successful exits of several companies, Dr. Safavi now focuses his efforts on designing and developing the kinds of low-drag, fast-start laboratory and business space solutions desired by biotech, startup, and healthcare services providers.

Chuck Mueller has been CFO for companies specializing in animal health care, oil and gas, manufacturing, and software. Chuck has extensive experience in financial operations and general management, including: strategic planning, corporate banking relations, corporate tax, financial analysis, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Mr. Mueller is a CPA and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. He also completed advanced business studies in the international executive management program thru IMD – Switzerland.

Jeff Bergstrom leads his firm’s business, real estate and tax transactions. His wide-ranging experience enables him to represent clients in a variety of business transactions, including: structuring business entities, business secession through acquisition, mergers and reorganizations, asset and equity sales, financing transactions, negotiating and drafting contracts, and general business and tax counseling.
In addition to a law degree, Mr. Bergstrom holds an MBA and a LL.M in Taxation from the University of Denver.

Clint Schmitz grew up on a farm in a small town in Iowa where he was always building things on the farm with his dad or remodeling houses with his stepdad which is what sold him on a career in construction. Clint moved to Colorado in 2007 after graduating from Iowa State with a degree in structural and civil engineering and has now completed over 3 million square feet of projects. Clint runs the northern Colorado division for Hammers Construction and is the 3rd Generation involved in continuing the Hammers tradition

Travis Wanger is a Senior Vice President and Principal with Fuller Real Estate. Travis has focused his career on office and retail investments and leasing opportunities. Travis was named a Fuller Real Estate Top Producer in 2021. Travis is a member of the University of Colorado Real Estate Council and has been a part of the Forum committee for the last few years.

With over 30 years of experience in design-build construction, Steve Hammers has followed in his father’s footsteps, becoming a well-respected entrepreneur who has helped shape Colorado Springs into what it is today and where he has left his mark with some of the more than 500 buildings on his resume.
Having a keen sense of sales, business development, and a passion for construction consulting, Steve sets the company’s professional tone for his client’s vision. Taking a hands-on approach, he ensures every project lives up to the high standards of the Hammers name. Housing over 90 acres of industrial buildings, he conceptualized and put into motion the development of Claremont Business Park, which houses the base of operations for the company today.

Even when I first started working as a research scientist for a variety of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, I noticed that creative and innovative people always seem to want to get their new product and service ideas to market more quickly.
And as the founder of BioAgilytix Labs – one of the world’s leading contract research companies –I saw how many of our clients were searching for business partners who could easily adapt to rapidly changing conditions and execute more quickly.
